Meet the CoupleCourtney and Lee’s story began freshman year at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where they were set up by mutual friends. Courtney needed a date to her first sorority winter formal, and with a little help from their friends, Lee stepped in - and the rest is history. Since then, they’ve built a life filled with walks and hikes with their labradoodle, cooking meals together, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and cities. You can also often find them at concerts, cheering on their favorite college football teams (Ole Miss and Georgia), or spending time with their friend group. Whether they’re out on an adventure or enjoying a quiet night in, Courtney and Lee love doing life side by side. The Proposal"Lee proposed on my birthday back in September at the same location where he asked me to be his girlfriend 4 years prior. He surprised me completely and had been in contact with my parents/his family in order to get them to come to Birmingham for the surprise proposal! He then took me to a nice restaurant afterwards and we got to spend time together just the two of us debriefing after the crazy day that had just happened!" -Courtney Details about the DayWe had such a fun time bringing Courtney and Lee’s spring wedding vision to life! Their day felt like the perfect blend of meaningful moments and colorful details that really reflected who they are together. It began with an intimate first look just between the two of them, where they shared private vows and had a quiet moment to soak everything in before the celebration unfolded. Their ceremony took place beneath the stunning tree at the historic house, and the setup was truly magical. A beautiful cross with colorful blooms and soft draping created a stunning focal point, while two additional floral stands framed the altar in vibrant spring florals. The lush greenery, sunshine, and pops of color made the entire scene feel so dreamy and full of life. Courtney’s bridesmaids in light blue dresses added the sweetest spring touch and tied beautifully into the floral palette. Surrounded by their family and friends, the ceremony felt joyful and full of connection. During cocktail hour, guests mingled on the patio while the colorful details continued. Their custom Cedarmont Farm seating chart featured light blue cards, and cheerful bud vases filled with bright blooms were placed throughout the cocktail tables - little floral moments everywhere you looked. It was such a happy, lively atmosphere as everyone enjoyed the spring weather together. When it was time to move inside for the reception, the event barn carried that same fresh, colorful energy. The farm tables were dressed with soft white chiffon runners, colorful bud vases, and elegant ivory taper candles, while the head table featured vibrant compote arrangements that really stood out. The round tables echoed the look with more taper candles and playful spring florals in bud vases, creating a beautifully cohesive design throughout the space. Courtney and Lee’s sweetheart table felt extra special with the ceremony’s floral stands brought inside as a focal point behind them, making their table feel elevated and eye-catching. Additional florals from the ceremony were repurposed along the head table and in front of the cake table, filling the barn with even more of those gorgeous spring blooms. Everything came together so beautifully on this spring day, and we loved watching them celebrate, laugh, and enjoy every moment surrounded by the people they love most!
