As a wedding planner sometimes I feel like a parent- there are no favorite children. But I'll be honest, if there were favorites Blake & Amanda come really close. From the moment I first met them (over Skype since their wedding was a destination one) I instantly loved their energy and the fun loving connection they had with each other. You could tell as cliche as it sometimes sounds, that they were in love with their best friend. Over the next few months, I helped them curate their perfect wedding at Cedarmont Farm that reflected this fun side of their personality as well as reflected values that were important to them. Because the environment & conservation is important to them the whole wedding was eco-friendly; there were no paper products and we re-used the flowers from the ceremony at the cocktail hour and the reception. Tablescapes were designed using recycled glass bottles and some of their old books (another personal touch since they both love to read). For their ceremony location, they picked our large tree opposite the entrance to our mansion. Beforehand, they did a first look in front of the mansion and everything about it was so sweet, so quiet and so touching. The ceremony was gorgeous and there wasn't a single dry eye as they each read the vows they wrote. Afterwards, there was a cocktail hour tent-side complete with lawn games and a surprise hot air balloon backdrop (I'd love to say I coordinated this but it was just a happy coincidence). The reception was exactly what every reception should be- a celebration! It was lovely to see the absolute joy and love surrounding this couple and see all of their friends and family be there to celebrate with them. It's a simple term, but one I love- "Good people." Amanda and Blake are "good people" surrounded by other "good people" and we are so happy they shared all of it with us. We couldn't be happier for them and wish them the happiest future together!
