Brittany and Jeremy had planned a beautiful June wedding for 2020. They became one of the many couples that had to postpone their big day due to the global pandemic. The decision was heartbreaking and stressful but it was a beautiful moment for them as a couple as it was an occasion in which their partnership thrived. During planning meetings and countless phone calls navigating the changes to their wedding, it was apparent that Brittany energized Jeremy and he calmed her. Together they were better than they would be alone and it was inspiring to see how strong of a couple they were even when tested. They decided to push their elegant wedding a few months to September and it turned out beautiful. Their guests danced the night away and they turned lemons into lemonade with some cute pocket size hand sanitizer party favors. Jeremy and Brittany are extremely dedicated to their careers, so when the weekend comes around, they like to use that time to enjoy each-others company. Whether that be watching some of their favorite shows, Bobs Burgers, The Office, or that Sunday's biggest football game; Go Titans & Go Dawgs! The Proposal: "Jeremy knows I have this huge cozy, old-lady robe that I have to wear when I step out of bed every morning, and that morning was no different. Jeremy walked over to me and started teasing me about how much I love my robe. He commented on how obnoxious it was, and that the pockets were so hilarious. Excitedly, I responded 'YES, it’s so big, and it’s got such BIG pockets too!'. A moment later, I stuck my hands down into the pockets and, sure enough, there was a box in the right-hand pocket! I pulled it out and he got down on one knee and I thought to myself 'if these are earrings I’m going to be so mad' But I opened the box and I said 'ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW!?' When he responded, he said, 'Babe, I love you, let’s do this!' And that’s the story of how we got engaged." - Brittany The Details: The lovely couple got married at the historic house ceremony site which lent itself perfect to the classic and elegant feel they wanted. The color theme was mauve and gold. To set the mood and direct guests to their table, guests were welcome to cocktail hour with a champagne escort card display. Using florals to showcase the colors, Brittany's bouquet and centerpieces were a beautiful collection of mauve and ivory florals with abundant greenery. The gold detailing with antique brass candlesticks and compotes scattered across the table perfectly complemented the silver table runners. "My favorite part of wedding planning was dress shopping and our tasting with Dream. I honestly loved getting to try on a bunch of beautiful dresses and loved tasting a bunch of yummy food and selecting our menu. For me, talking design details was a little overwhelming, I leaned on Colleen with Cedarmont for most of the design stuff!" - Brittany Advice from the bride: My advice for future couples is one: don’t postpone your wedding because of Covid. Live your life today because tomorrow isn’t promised. Two: don’t sweat the small stuff. My husband and I planned our wedding through this pandemic and still, we ended that day on cloud nine feeling that everything was perfect and couldn’t have gone better because we were MARRIED and so excited to start our lives together!! Just remember— that’s the point of your wedding day. - Brittany Vendors:
