Writing your own vows sounds so romantic, but then when you actually get down to it... it can be REALLY hard. How do you put all those emotions you feel for someone down into words? Words that you'll be reading in front of a lot of other people? It's your wedding day, one of the most important days of your love story, so you want your partner to know how amazing you feel about them and that can be a lot of pressure. But the good news is, it doesn't have to be! Using some of these tips, writing your own vows can be a little easier and a lot more genuine. At the end of the day, vows are a wonderful way to remind all of your wedding guests what exactly they're celebrating... the unique love that you and your partner have. And after all of your guests have cried a little, (maybe it's just me but isn't that the main goal? to make everyone cry?) they'll spend the rest of the evening dancing and toasting the night away in honor of the special love that you've been so lucky to find and the beautiful partnership that you have formed. Cause that's what it's all about right? Loving each other, having fun with each other, but also being teammates in this crazy game called life...Someone to have your back through thick and thin. To me atleast, there's nothing more romantic than that.

It's our favorite time of year at Cedarmont! Engagement season! And that also means lots of tours and showings of our venue. We love meeting all the newly engaged couples and hearing their proposal stories and wedding plans. Making our clients dream wedding come true is one of the things that truly makes our job fulfilling (not to mention sometimes challenging and we LOVE a good challenge!) In Nashville alone, there are so many different types of wedding venues from rustic to urban and everything in between. While finding the venue that fits your aesthetic is important, there are also some other important questions you may not think about that you should be asking venues when you tour.
Phew! That was one crazy December! Does anyone else feel like it was Halloween then a tornado of sparkles and Christmas music picked them up spun them around and now they've been spit out right before the New Year full of love, happiness, all the food, and...well, a bit exhausted? Maybe that's just me. Anyways! Now that I have a moment to catch my breath, I realize that I didn't share any of the details of the festive event that we hosted here at the farm!

As a wedding planner sometimes I feel like a parent- there are no favorite children. But I'll be honest, if there were favorites Blake & Amanda come really close. From the moment I first met them (over Skype since their wedding was a destination one) I instantly loved their energy and the fun loving connection they had with each other. You could tell as cliche as it sometimes sounds, that they were in love with their best friend. Over the next few months, I helped them curate their perfect wedding at Cedarmont Farm that reflected this fun side of their personality as well as reflected values that were important to them.
